Parking at Rice University

Visitors to Hamman Hall may park in the North Visitors Lot (entrance 20 or 21) or the Central Campus Garage. Please be aware that the gates at the North Lot require a credit card and do not accept cash. The procedure to enter requires that you insert a credit card to enter and then re-insert the same credit card to exit. The Central Campus Garage will accept cash or credit cards. Free parking is available in the visitors section of the West Lot, behind the Campus Police station, and the visitors section of the Greenbriar Lot, west of the stadium, with entry at entrance 10 off of Greenbriar. All buses must park in the free visitors section of the Greenbriar Lot. At no time can anyone park on Campanile Road, nor in the Mudd cul-de-sac, for longer than 15 minutes. More information about parking may be obtained from the Parking and Enforcement office website. A map of the Rice campus indicating visitor parking is available upon request from the Rice Welcome Center in Lovett Hall, Fondren Library, the Ley Student Center Information Desk, RUPD (713-348-6000) and on any campus Shuttle.
